Saad followers won't be allowed to organise Ijtema in Tongi next year: Home ministry
However, the ministry did not clarify if the Saad followers will be able to hold the Ijtema in another venue next year

Followers of Maulana Saad Kandhalvi of India will not be allowed to organise the Bishwa Ijtema at the Ijtema ground in Tongi from next year.
The Ministry of Home Affairs issued a circular in this regard today (4 February).
The circular states that this year, the followers of Tablighi Jamaat Bangladesh's Shura-e-Nizam, i.e. the followers of Maulana Mohammad Zubair, will complete the Ijtema on 5 February and hand over the Ijtema to the Maidan administration after Maghrib on 6 February.
Then the second phase of the Ijtema will be held from 14 to 16 February. The followers of Maulana Saad of Tablighi Jamaat Bangladesh will participate in the Ijtema at this time.
However, the condition is that after Maghrib on 18 February, the Saad followers will hand over the Ijtema ground to the administration, the home ministry states.
Besides, from next year, the Saad faction will not be able to organise the Ijtema and conduct Tablighi activities at the Ijtema ground in Tongi.
"Subject to fulfilling this condition, they will be able to hold the Ijtema only from February 14-16," said the ministry.
However, the ministry circular did not clarify if the Saad followers will be able to hold the Ijtema in another venue next year.
The Bishwa Ijtema began on 31 January this year.
