PRAN's Mr. Noodles enters ramen market to rival foreign brands

PRAN Foods Ltd's popular instant noodles brand Mr. Noodles has launched a new product, Ramen Noodles, to compete with foreign brands in Bangladesh's growing instant noodle market.
The new product was officially unveiled today (6 October) at the company's head office in Badda.
Ramen noodles are widely popular among Asian food lovers, and the category in Bangladesh has so far been dominated by foreign brands. However, Mr Noodles is now producing internationally standard ramen in its own factory.
Considering consumer demand and preference, four variants have been introduced — Ramen Cheese, Carbonara, Hot Chicken, and Hot Chicken 2X Spicy — with each 85-gram packet priced at Tk50, which the company claims is the most competitive rate currently available.
Speaking at the event, Eleash Mridha, Managing Director of PRAN Group, said, "Mr. Noodles has always worked to deliver new products and popular global recipes based on consumer demand. With quality and variety at the core, Mr. Noodles has become a beloved brand among Bangladeshi consumers. We believe the new ramen line will further strengthen our position in the market."
Deputy Managing Director AKM Moinul Islam Moin said the local ramen market had long been dominated by foreign brands that were relatively expensive.
"We aim to change that scenario. Consumers can now enjoy international-standard ramen noodles at an affordable price," he said.
He added that the new ramen line is now available at major superstores such as Daily Shopping, Best Buy, and Shwapno, as well as online platforms including othoba.com.
