Global Labor Day Summit by SOLE-USA highlights worker empowerment

On the occasion of International Labour Day, the School of Leadership (SOLE) – USA hosted the "Global Labor Day Summit for Leadership on Empowering Workers for a Better Tomorrow."
The virtual summit brought together representatives from 35 countries, including two ambassadors, making it a truly global dialogue on labour rights and workforce development, reads a press release.
The summit was presided over by Dr Golam Rabbani Nayan Bangalee, founder president of SOLE – USA. Dan Mozena, former US Ambassador to Bangladesh, joined as the chief guest and offered insightful perspectives on workforce potential and global cooperation.
Mozena emphasised Bangladesh's promising future, stating, "I see Bangladesh as a country with immense potential and a vast human resource base. If the nation can develop this workforce with proper skills and guidance, it can bring about a radical transformation for a better future."
The keynote speech was delivered by Professor MM Sharidul Karim, head of the English Department at Comilla University.
Notable speakers from Bangladesh included Dr Jamil Ahmed, executive director of SOLE – Bangladesh; Major (retd) Rool Amin; Mohammad Faiz Kawser, country representative of the SOLE – Bangladesh; Professor Aliar Hossain, country representative of the SOLE – UK; Dr Parvez Reza Kakon; and journalist Aminul Majlish.
