8-day National SME Product Fair to kick off on 7 December in Dhaka
SME Foundation Chairperson Md Musfiquar Rahman will preside over the opening ceremony
The 12th National SME Product Fair 2025 is set to take place from 7–14 December at the Bangladesh–China Friendship Exhibition Center in Agargaon.
The event is being organised by the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Foundation under the Ministry of Industries, according to a ministry press release issued today (4 December).
The fair will be inaugurated on 7 December at 10am at the 'Hall of Fame' of the exhibition centre by Industries Adviser Adilur Rahman Khan.

Special guests will include Cultural Affairs Adviser Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, Lutfe Siddiqui, special envoy on international affairs to chief adviser, Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (Bida) Executive Chairman Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun, Bangladesh Bank Governor Ahsan H Mansur, Industries Secretary Md Obaidur Rahman, SME Foundation Managing Director Anwar Hossain Chowdhury, and board member and convenor of the fair implementation committee Shammim Ahmed.
City Bank Managing Director and CEO Mashrur Arefin will attend as an honoured guest.
Speaking at a press briefing this morning (4 December), foundation's Chairperson Musfiquar Rahman said around 350 small and medium enterprises will participate in this year's fair, of which nearly 60% are women-led businesses.
The chairperson further said that around 30 banks and financial institutions involved in SME lending will participate in the fair.
"Entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to seek clarification on SME loan procedures and consult directly with bankers. If both parties agree, entrepreneurs will be able to submit loan applications at the fair itself and even receive initial assessments about loan approval," he added.
The fair will remain open to visitors every day from 10am to 9pm with no entry fee.
Alongside the 8-day exhibition, six seminars will be held from 8–10 December at the "Windy Town" hall of the exhibition centre.
These will focus on easy financing for SMEs, export diversification, obtaining halal certification, patent and industrial design registration, trademark and GI recognition, and building a stronger skills ecosystem.
