Winter housing fair kicks off Tuesday

The REHAB Winter Fair 2019 is set to kick off in the capital's Bangabandhu International Conference Center on Tuesday.

A total of 230 real estate companies will offer flats and plots for sale to visitors at the five-day event, organised by the Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB).

REHAB President Alamgir Shamsul Alamin presented the details about the fair at a press conference held at a city hotel on Sunday.

Housing and Public Works Minister SM Rezaul Karim will inaugurate the fair.

Building material enterprises, investment banks and financial institutions will take part in this year's event along with the REHAB member companies.

Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) Chairman Sultan Ahmed is also scheduled to attend the event.

Speaking at the press briefing, the REHAB president said the fair will remain open every day from 10am to 9pm till December 28.

"Housing companies will offer under-construction and ready flats, commercial buildings and plots for sale at the event. The companies will also give exciting offers and discounts."

Same as the previous years, the organisers will offer two types of tickets for entry to the fair. A one-time entry ticket will cost Tk50 and a multiple-entry ticket covering five days will cost Tk100.

REHAB said the money collected from the ticket sales will be spent on supporting the poor and the destitute.
