Is there anyone who does not love to have a decorated bedroom where one spend most of the time while at home?

What you really need in a bedroom is a bed, a cupboard and a dressing table.

However, one usually has to spend a large amount – ranging from Tk1.5 lakh to Tk2 lakh – to buy these three items of furniture from a branded shop.  Moreover, it is very difficult for people with a limited income to do so.

If there is an opportunity to get these things for cheap, what will they do? They are probably going to cash in on the offer with both hands.

This year, furniture outlets at the international trade fair have come up with an array of budget-friendly packages for decorating bedrooms.

Nadia Furniture offers the three-set package for Tk37,500. The offer is available at its pavilion at the fair and at different outlets. It is also providing free home-delivery.

Like Nadia Furniture, many other reputed furniture brands such as Brothers, Partex, Navana and Delta are also offering economy bedroom packages – each having 3 to 5 items.

Most of them are also giving a maximum of 15 percent discount on their other products.

"We have introduced the package for middle-income people who want to decorate their bedrooms with quality furniture at a cheaper cost," said Nur Hasan Uz Zaman, manager of Nadia Furniture Ltd.

The actual price of the three pieces of furniture – made of melamine board – is around 40,000. They are giving a 5 percent discount on this package, he added.

They also offer a bedroom package of wooden furniture for Tk70,000-Tk80,000.

Many people have been thronging to Nadia Furniture's pavilion to avail the attractive package.

Mizanur Rahman, a private company employee who bought the package, said, "As I am going to get married soon, I was planning to decorate my bedroom, so I took this opportunity."

"There are many people like me who are trying hard to decorate their bedrooms on a limited budget. I think this economy package is going to help them out," he added.

Md Nadimuzzaman Yousuf, assistant manager of Delta Furnishers, said they are getting a good response on their economy bedroom packages.

"We always care about the needs of middle-income people. So we have fixed the prices of our packages by keeping their buying capacity in mind," he added.
