UCB sees 85% profit drop in H1 of 2025
United Commercial Bank (UCB) posted that its profit dropped by 85% in the first half of this year.
According to the disclosure filed on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Tuesday, the bank reported the consolidated earnings per share of Tk0.12 during the January-June period of 2025, which was significantly lower from Tk0.82 in the same period of the previous year.
During the April-June quarter, its consolidated earnings per share was Tk0.08, which was 80% lower from the same time last year.
