Two BSRM firms pledge 0.25% of revenue on education, health

Bangladesh's leading steel conglomerates, BSRM Limited and BSRM Steel, have announced a commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR), collectively allocating approximately Tk50 crore, representing 0.25% of their combined annual revenue, to social welfare initiatives.
The two firms reported a combined revenue of Tk19,938 crore in the last fiscal year 2024-25, with BSRM Steel posting Tk10,366 crore and BSRM Limited posting Tk9,572 crore. Based on this robust revenue, the planned CSR expenditure for the coming year is estimated at around Tk50 crore.
