Investit Asset Management has announced the launch of a new mutual fund aimed at delivering superior risk-adjusted returns through investments in growth stocks.

The fund's initial size is Tk25 crore, with Investit Asset Management, as the sponsor, contributing Tk2.5 crore. The remaining Tk22.5 crore will be raised from individual and institutional investors. The fund size may be increased in the future, subject to trustee approval.

The subscription period will commence on 1 January 2025, with units offered at a face value of Tk10.

Investit Asset Management will act as both the sponsor and asset manager of the fund. Sandhani Life Insurance will serve as the trustee, and BRAC Bank will act as the custodian.

The minimum investment amount is Tk5,000 for individual investors and Tk50,000 for institutional investors.

"Our fund is dedicated to maximising long-term wealth for our valued investors through strategic investments in rigorously researched, high-quality growth stocks," said Mohammad Emran Hasan, managing director and CEO of Investit Asset Management.

"We view current market conditions as an opportunity to construct well-diversified portfolios," he added.

Rigorous research, commitment to integrity, and a client-focused approach should be the foundation of fund success, he said, adding that the asset manager has demonstrated confidence in the fund by investing its own capital as a sponsor.
