Ruhul Quddus Khan appointed as new CEO of Unilever Bangladesh Ltd
Ruhul began his journey with UBL in 1996 as a trainee under the Unilever Future Leaders’ Programme (UFLP) at the Kalurghat Factory.
Ruhul Quddus Khan has been appointed as the chief executive officer (CEO) and Managing Director of Unilever Bangladesh Ltd (UBL), the country's one of the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) companies.
The UBL came up with this decision today (22 September), which will be effective from 1 November 2025, a press release said.
Ruhul began his journey with UBL in 1996 as a trainee under the Unilever Future Leaders' Programme (UFLP) at the Kalurghat Factory.
Over nearly three decades, he has served in diverse leadership roles in supply chain and R&D across Bangladesh and India.
Shazia Syed, head of the Pakistan, Turkey, Arabia, and Bangladesh (PTAB) cluster of Unilever, welcomed the appointment.
"Ruhul comes into the role with a great track record of leading transformations, navigating uncertainty, and driving impact for business and the environment. His strong knowledge of operations, combined with his passion for people, makes him exceptionally well-suited for this role. With his leadership, Unilever Bangladesh shall continue its journey of brightening every day for all," she said.
In recent years, he worked as UBL's Supply Chain Director and later as Head of Customer Experience and Logistics, where he was credited with reshaping the company's supply chain into a future-fit, high-performing function. His initiatives included driving customer-centric processes, expanding the use of data analytics, and accelerating digital transformation and process automation.
Ruhul also played a key role in advancing Unilever Bangladesh's sustainability agenda, particularly around its Net Zero operations goal, as part of Unilever's global commitments.
He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and is considered one of the country's most respected leaders in supply chain and operations.
