Budget FY26: Ministry of Youth and Sports allocated Tk2,423 crore
Of the total Tk2,423 crore budget, operating cost will be Tk983 crore and development expenditure will be Tk1,440 crore
The proposed budget for the Ministry of Youth and Sports for the fiscal year 2025-26 has been allocated at Tk2,423 crore, Tk842.32 crore more than last year's revised budget.
Finance Adviser Salehuddin Ahmed presented the budget yesterday afternoon (2 June).
Of the total Tk2,423 crore budget, operating cost will be Tk983 crore and development expenditure will be Tk1,440 crore.

The revised budget for the last 2024-25 fiscal year was Tk1,581 crore--Tk953 crore for operating expenditure and Tk628 crore for the development expenditure.
The main sports program for the fiscal year 2025-26 featured organising and participating in sports at national and international level as well as rendering national sports award, hunting sports talents, creating sports environment in rural areas, preparing skill sports persons, construction, improvement and maintenance of sports infrastructure, providing grants in aid to various sports organisations and providing welfare grants-in aid to insolvent sports persons.
