Once the plant comes into operation, it will be able to produce eight lakh pieces of LED light a year.

Project Director Engineer Shamim Ahmed said they have imported necessary equipment from South Korea for producing LED light. And the Eastern Tubes' engineers have already installed those at the factory with the help of South Korean company named Harmanikom Limited, he added.

"We will produce energy-efficient LED light instead of fluorescent bulbs to meet the domestic demand," he added.

They have already procured raw materials for manufacturing two lakh pieces of LED light, and produced some pieces on an experimental basis, he said.

He hoped that they will be able to go into full production after the inauguration of the assembling plant.
