Ctg to host first-ever Build Expo on sustainable urban development
Three-day expo will showcase construction products and technologies
Chattogram will host its first-ever Build Expo from 20 to 22 August, bringing together 30 companies and stakeholders from the construction and urban development sectors to showcase technologies and discuss sustainable city development.
Organised by the Chattogram chapter of the Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB), the three-day Chattogram Build Expo 2026 will be held at Radisson Blu Chattogram Bay View.
Details of the expo were disclosed at a press conference at the hotel today (18 August).
The organisers said coordinated efforts among architects, engineers, construction companies, policymakers and other stakeholders are needed to build a safe, sustainable and liveable Chattogram for future generations.
A total of 30 companies from Dhaka and Chattogram will participate in the three-day event. The expo will feature construction products and technologies, along with brand activation and opportunities for business networking.
Seminars and discussions will also be held with experts on construction, urban development, modern construction technologies and sustainable architecture.
The sessions will provide an opportunity to discuss the existing and potential challenges facing Chattogram's urban development and construction sectors, the organisers said.
At the press conference, the organisation's Chairman and architect Fazle Imran Chowdhury, former chairman and architect Ashik Imran, Chattogram Build Expo 2026 sub-committee adviser and architect Mehedi Iftekhar, and N Mohammad Group Chairman Mohammad Manzurul Haque, along with members of the organising committee, were present.
