Md Ziaul Haque Bhuiyan has been elected as the new national president of Junior Chamber International (JCI) Bangladesh and Imran Kadir has become the new deputy national president

The general assembly of JCI's Bangladesh branch was held on Sunday (25 December), at a hotel in the capital, said a press release.

The new board will be serving for the tenure 2023. JCI Bangladesh Past President Sarah Kamal conducted the election as the election commissioner.

Niaz Morshed Elite, the 2022 JCI Bangladesh national president, congratulated the new board in his speech. The newly elected governing body consists of 35 members. 

In 2022, Ziaul served as the national general secretary.

The newly elected president said, "JCI is an organisation for young people and in the upcoming year, JCI Bangladesh will focus on spreading various youth development initiatives in all the districts nationwide. Also, continuing on from the previous year, new initiatives are being launched to develop the talent of young, energetic individuals!"

The organisation is found in over 100 countries and has a membership of more than 200,000 across the world.

JCI Bangladesh is running its operation in Bangladesh with 35 local organisations with member base of more than 4000 from all across the country.
