Zass Technology Ltd and RFL Electronics Ltd, a PRAN-RFL Group subsidiary, have partnered to begin CKD assembly of multimedia routers in Bangladesh, marking a significant step in local tech manufacturing.
The agreement, signed at PRAN Centre in Gulshan, Dhaka, sets the stage for a transformative moment in Bangladesh's journey to strengthen its digital infrastructure and manufacturing prowess.
Towfique Malek, Managing Director of Zass Technology Ltd, and Kazi Rashedul Islam, Executive Director of RFL Electronics Ltd, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective companies.
Towfique Malek commented: 'This partnership represents a key step towards technological self-reliance in Bangladesh. By combining Zass Technology's technical expertise with RFL's industrial scale, we aim to reduce import dependence and make high-quality, locally assembled networking solutions more affordable and accessible for users nationwide, enabling enhanced online experiences and greater connectivity.'
Through this dynamic agreement, Zass Technology will contribute its innovative technical designs, engineering mastery, and specialised components, while RFL Electronics energises the process by harnessing its robust manufacturing facilities to bring these products to life locally.
The collaboration aligns with the government's 'Made in Bangladesh' initiative, supporting the shift from import dependence to domestic high-tech production.
The CKD initiative is expected to deliver several economic benefits, including quicker access to up-to-date routers for internet service providers and corporate clients, leading to improved service for end users and the creation of skilled jobs in Bangladesh's growing electronics manufacturing sector.
The initial phase of the partnership will focus on assembling high-performance Wi-Fi routers to meet rising user demand for faster, more reliable internet, improving day-to-day online experiences across both urban and rural areas.
Both companies announced that their collaboration crystallises a shared passion for innovation, industrial growth, and digital transformation—fueling Bangladesh's bold vision to establish a resilient, world-class technology ecosystem.
