Youth employment fair and career talk to boost job opportunities in Cox’s Bazar

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), in collaboration with the Deputy Commissioner's Office in Cox's Bazar, Global Affairs Canada, the International Labour Organization (ILO), and BRAC, is organising the Youth Employment Fair and Career Talk 2025. 

The event will take place on 27 February at Hotel Sea Palace, Cox's Bazar, under the 'Improving Skills and Economic Opportunities for Women and Youth in Cox's Bazar (ISEC) Project.' This initiative, implemented by UNDP's a2i programme, aims to connect skilled youth with potential employers and provide them with career development opportunities.

The event will showcase over 30 industries offering over 2,000 job opportunities, targeting youth, including women, persons with disabilities, and NEET individuals. A launching ceremony will feature key stakeholders of key government, private sector, and development organisations. The fair will also include direct engagement between job seekers and employers, with on-the-spot interviews facilitating employment matching.

Industry leaders will share insights during career talks, covering opportunities in various sectors such as government, entrepreneurship, tourism, and development. Additionally, UNDP and ILO will provide valuable information on labour market trends and emerging job sectors, helping youth better understand the evolving job landscape.
