Xiaomi retains top spot in handset category at Best Brand Award
Xiaomi has been named the No. 1 mobile handset brand in Bangladesh for the second consecutive year at the 17th Best Brand Award 2025.
The recognition was conferred at the award ceremony organised by the Bangladesh Brand Forum, where Xiaomi secured the top position in the mobile handset category. The award was received on behalf of Xiaomi Bangladesh by Liu Chang, Deputy Country Manager, and Md Asaduzzaman, Marketing Director.
With the latest recognition, Xiaomi has retained its position as the country's leading mobile handset brand for two consecutive years, strengthening its presence in Bangladesh's competitive smartphone market.
Commenting on the achievement, Md Asaduzzaman said the recognition reflects consumer trust in the brand. He added that Xiaomi plans to expand its range of AIoT products in the coming year, reinforcing its positioning as a broader technology brand beyond smartphones.
Since entering the Bangladeshi market, Xiaomi has expanded rapidly across both urban and rural areas by offering feature-rich smartphones at competitive prices, widening its official retail network and strengthening after-sales service. The company said these efforts have helped build a strong user base nationwide.
The Best Brand Award is determined through a nationwide consumer survey conducted by nSearch, covering all divisions and rural areas. The 2025 study included 12,400 respondents and assessed brands based on category-wise brand equity and cross-category evaluation models.
Xiaomi said the popularity of its Redmi Note series has played a key role in its growth, and the company plans to introduce the next-generation Note series in Bangladesh in the coming year.
