Walton secures SAFA Gold Award for the third time
Global electronics brand Walton has achieved the prestigious 'Gold Award' from the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) for the third time. Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC was recognised with the 'Joint Gold Award' in the manufacturing category for its 'Best Presented Annual Reports 2023.'
The award ceremony, titled SAFA Best Presented Annual Report Awards, Integrated Reporting Award, and SAARC Anniversary Award, took place on 11 November 2023 at the Hotel Cinnamon Lakeside in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Walton Hi-Tech's Additional Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer, Md. Ziaul Alam, FCA, ACA (ICAEW), along with Deputy Company Secretary Md. Enamul Haq, FCS, received the award from SAFA President Heshana Kuruppu.
The event was attended by distinguished guests, including Sri Lanka's Central Bank Governor, Dr. P. Nandalal Weerasinghe, SAFA Permanent Secretary Jai Kumar Batra, Walton Global Business Unit Vice-President Abdur Rouf, and senior officials from various SAARC countries.
