Visa honours Islami Bank for excellence in Islamic banking cards
Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC has received the Excellence in Islamic Banking Cards award for issuing the highest number of Visa-branded debit cards among Islamic banks in the country.
The recognition was presented at the VISA Leadership Conclave 2025, held recently at a hotel in Dhaka and organised by VISA. Dr Ahsan H Mansur, the Governor of the Bangladesh Bank, attended the event as the chief guest.
Arief Hossain Khan, Executive Director of the Bangladesh Bank and a special guest at the event, handed over the award to Dr M Kamal Uddin Jasim, Deputy Managing Director of Islami Bank.

Also present were Sandeep Ghosh, country manager for South Asia and India, VISA; Sabbir Ahmed, country manager for Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan, VISA; Md Maznuzzaman, head of the business promotion and marketing division, Islami Bank; and Md Mosharraf Hossain, head of the digital banking wing, Islami Bank, along with executives and officials from various organisations.
