US marines, Bangladesh military hold joint fitness exercise
US Marines from the US Embassy in Dhaka and personnel of the Bangladesh Armed Forces took part in a joint physical fitness and camaraderie-building event at the Bangladesh Army Stadium on 18 December.
The event centred on the Marine Corps Combat Fitness Test and aimed to promote teamwork, trust and operational readiness among service members of both countries.
A representative of the US Defense Attaché Office said the event reflected the enduring partnership between the United States and Bangladesh, adding that training side by side helps strengthen trust and teamwork underpinning their shared commitment to regional security.
The initiative builds on long-standing US–Bangladesh military cooperation, which includes joint training exercises, humanitarian assistance, disaster response initiatives and professional military education programmes.
The US Embassy in Dhaka said it remains committed to advancing defence collaboration and strengthening ties between the armed forces of the two countries.
