UCBD partners with Shanta Holdings to fast-track students’ careers

The Universal College Bangladesh (UCBD) has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Shanta Holdings Limited to accelerate students' professional journey through mentorship, career-building support, and real-world experience.

It is a significant step toward bridging international education with local industry. The signing event took place at the UCBD campus. Under the agreement, students from UCBD will be considered for internships and job opportunities at Shanta Holdings Limited based on specific criteria. They will also benefit from knowledge-sharing sessions, guest lectures, training programs, mentorship, and career guidance, all designed to nurture students' professional insight and leadership potential. 

Kingshuk Gupta, Chief Operating Officer of Universal College Bangladesh, said, "We believe education should open doors to both academic excellence and real opportunities in the workplace. Our partnership with Shanta Holdings Limited will enable our students better to understand the operations of one of the leading companies. Such exposure can play vital roles in cultivating future leaders."

Mahabub Ahmad, Head of Operations, Shanta Holdings Limited, added, "We believe in nurturing future talents; thus, our partnership with Universal College Bangladesh will allow us to welcome the students into the dynamic and evolving corporate world and guide them properly in their career goals and journey. The young students represent the next generation of doers and thinkers, and we are committed to offering them challenges, opportunities, and mentorship that will transform their careers and contributions to the economy." 

The signing agreement was attended by S M Rahmatul Mujeeb, Chief Financial Officer, STS Capital Limited; Shaharia Sultana Ria, Head of HR, STS Capital; S M Risalat Rahman, Assistant Manager, Universal College Bangladesh; Irshadur Rahman, Head, Human Resource Management, Shanta Holdings Limited; and Farhan Islam Shihab, Assistant Manager, Human Resource Management, Shanta Holdings Limited. 

UCBD is the country's first and leading international educational hub, offering undergraduate degrees in partnership with Monash (Australia and Malaysia), the University of London's LSE, and the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), as well as pathways to more than 70 global university.
