Trust bank, bkash partner to expand digital financial services

Trust Bank and bKash have partnered to expand financial services, aiming to improve convenience and efficiency in digital transactions.
Under this collaboration, customers will be able to open weekly and monthly Deposit Pension Schemes (DPS) with Trust Bank directly through the bKash app. The initiative will also strengthen bank-to-bKash and bKash-to-bank fund transfers, introduce direct payment facilities from Trust Bank accounts via the bKash app at more than one million merchant points nationwide, and provide 24/7 automated cash management for agents and distributors.
Trust Bank Managing Director and CEO Ahsan Zaman Chowdhury and bKash Founder and CEO Kamal Quadir attended the agreement exchange at a city hotel. Brig Gen Md Mamun or Rashid (Retd), Head of General Service and Security Division of Trust Bank, and Ali Ahmmed, Chief Commercial Officer of bKash, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
Trust Bank and bKash have already been offering joint services, including the Trust Cum Settlement Account, Add Money, Transfer Money, and Remittance Settlement. With the new services, over 80 million bKash customers will be able to open DPS accounts in Trust Bank through the app. Additionally, more than 350,000 bKash agents nationwide will benefit from Trust Bank's round-the-clock cash management system.
Addressing the event, Trust Bank Managing Director and CEO Ahsan Zaman Chowdhury said: "Trust Bank has been providing banking services aimed at financial inclusion for more than 25 years.
