Toffee launches Eid dhamaka with films, dramas and live sports
Eid in Bangladesh has long been associated with shared entertainment – from gathering around BTV screens to today's family streaming.
This Eid, Toffee, Banglalink's digital entertainment platform, aims to blend that nostalgia with a modern viewing experience through its special campaign, "Toffee Eid Dhamaka".
As part of the campaign, Toffee is offering a wide selection of Bangladeshi films across genres. Action fans can watch Shariful Raj's "Omar" and "Insaf", while "Trap", starring Apu Biswas and Joy Chowdhury, explores crime in the age of social media. For viewers seeking more layered storytelling, the National Film Award-winning "Nakshi Kanthar Zamin", featuring Jaya Ahsan, presents a story of resilience and sisterhood. The line-up also includes Shakib Khan's "Golui", Afran Nisho's "Daagi" and Mehazabien Chowdhury's "Priyo Maloti".
Alongside local content, Toffee is also offering international titles free of charge during the Eid holidays. These include Jason Statham's action thriller "The Beekeeper", the heist film "Den of Thieves", and the Korean crime-thriller series "Flower of Evil".
Eid entertainment would not be complete without popular dramas, and Toffee is also making available on-demand titles such as "Agle Rekho Amay" and "Bhul Naki Prem", featuring Khairul Basar and Arosh Khan, throughout the holiday period.
For sports fans, the platform will also stream major international fixtures. Football viewers can follow English Premier League action and UEFA Champions League knockout ties, while cricket fans can watch the New Zealand-South Africa T20 series.
Toffee also offers access to more than 60 live TV channels alongside its on-demand library, aiming to provide uninterrupted entertainment for users wherever they spend Eid.
Sharing the idea behind the initiative, Toffee Deputy Director Modasser Ahmed said, "This Eid, our vision was to blend nostalgia with the possibilities of modern digital entertainment, creating a platform where audiences can find everything they love in one place. From local stories to global hits and live sports, we wanted to make every moment of the celebration more engaging, accessible and meaningful for viewers across Bangladesh."
With films, dramas, live sports and international titles available in one place, Toffee said it wants to turn every Eid moment into a shared celebration for viewers across the country.
