Tianjin University offers five fully funded scholarships to NSU students
Tianjin University has announced five fully funded scholarships for students of North South University (NSU), comprising four PhD scholarships and one Master's scholarship, following a collaboration meeting held on 20 January 2026 at NSU campus.
The scholarship package will cover full tuition fees, accommodation, comprehensive medical insurance, and a monthly living allowance of CNY 3,500 for PhD students and CNY 2,500 for Master's students. The scholarships will be awarded for the full duration of the respective academic programmes at Tianjin University.
The announcement was made during a meeting between NSU and a delegation from Tianjin University, led by Sun Peizhe, Vice-Dean of the School of Environmental Science and Engineering. The delegation also included Liu Wenwei, Vice-Dean of the School of International Education, and Chen Yu, Programme Coordinator of the School of International Education.
The meeting was chaired by Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Vice-Chancellor of North South University, and attended by Nasar U Ahmed, Pro Vice-Chancellor, along with deans, directors, and senior academic and administrative officials of NSU.
During the discussions, both institutions exchanged institutional overviews and explored potential areas of collaboration, including student and faculty exchange programmes, joint research initiatives—particularly in the environmental sector—and broader academic cooperation.
NSU officials welcomed the scholarship offer, describing it as a significant step towards enhancing international academic mobility, and expanding global exposure for NSU students.
