Talents shine at smart bangla karaoke 2024 grand finale

The grand celebration of the "Sony-Smart Presents Smart Bangla Karaoke Music Contest 2024" concluded with spectacular festivities.

On Saturday night, the Zahir Smart Tower conference hall in Agargaon, Dhaka, came alive with vibrant performances by 25 contestants. For the first time in Bangladesh, Smart Electronics Limited (Sony-Smart), the official distributor of Japan's Sony, organised the "Smart Bangla Karaoke Music Contest 2024."

The competition was a vibrant display of musical talent, with 1,700 contestants from various corners of the country vying for the top spot. After several rigorous selection rounds, 25 exceptional performers advanced to the grand finale. Shahin Alam from Uttara, Dhaka, emerged as the champion, receiving a cash prize of BDT 50,000. Ahadur Rahman Rahad was declared the first runner-up and awarded BDT 30,000, while Shyamal Debnath secured a second runner-up position, earning BDT 20,000.

In addition to the cash prizes, the top three winners received exclusive gifts from Sony-Smart. Shahin Alam was presented with Sony's latest noise-cancelling headphones, the WH-ULT9000N, featuring ultimate bass. At the same time, the first runner-up received Sony Bluetooth Noise-Cancelling Dual Earbuds WF-1000XM3, and the second runner-up was gifted the waterproof portable Bluetooth speaker SRS-XB12. Moreover, 10 finalists, including the winners, were each presented with a Smart Bangla Karaoke Music System, adding to the joy of the occasion. The judging panel and the event's brand ambassador were honoured with crests and gift vouchers to recognise their contributions to the competition.

The event featured an esteemed panel of judges, including renowned singer, composer, and music director Kishore Das, acclaimed vocalist and music director Sajia Sultana Putul, and celebrated singer Isfatara Rony. The event was graced by the presence of the contest's brand ambassador, the renowned contemporary vocalist Lilin Moon, along with Sarwar Jahan Chowdhury, General Manager of Smart Technologies (BD) Ltd.; Azad Rahman, Deputy General Manager and Head of Marketing; and other senior officials of the organisation.

The program was hosted by the popular presenter Srabonno Tawhida, whose engaging style infused the evening with energy and enthusiasm. Adding a special touch, celebrated singers Akhi Alamgir, Salma Akter, and Rashed Uddin extended their congratulations to the winners through heartfelt video messages.

On behalf of the organiser, Sony-Smart stated that the competition provided a platform for talented artists to showcase their skills and creativity. The Smart Bangla Karaoke Music Contest 2024 has opened new doors to the possibilities of music. Speakers at the event mentioned that they would take the initiative to organise such events on a larger scale in the future.
