Swiss delegation visits Nestlé factory to strengthen economic partnership
A high-level delegation from the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs visited Nestlé Bangladesh PLC's Sreepur factory on 1 June 2026, underscoring Switzerland's commitment to quality, investment, and a lasting economic partnership with Bangladesh.
The delegation was headed by HE Markus Leitner, Head of the Asia-Pacific Division, Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs, accompanied by HE Reto Renggli, Ambassador of Switzerland to Bangladesh, and other senior officials.
The visit spotlighted Nestlé Bangladesh's role in the nation's industrial and economic development since 1994, particularly in advancing local capabilities, innovation, and employment.
During the tour, the delegation praised Nestlé's world-class manufacturing standards, with particular recognition of its infant formula operations, reflecting the company's commitment to Swiss quality, safety, and excellence.
The delegation observed that the Sreepur facility exemplifies how Swiss companies uphold global benchmarks while strengthening Bangladesh's manufacturing ecosystem.
Nestlé Bangladesh's Creating Shared Value initiatives—centred on regenerative agriculture, nutrition, and youth employability—currently reach over 20,000 families, supporting inclusive and sustainable growth.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and promoting continued investment and sustainable business growth in Bangladesh.
