Supply chain street marks sixth year with iftar meetup on ethics, resilience
The Supply Chain Street marked its sixth anniversary by organising an event titled "Grand Iftar & Supply Chain Meetup: Ethics & Resilience in Supply Chain" at Bistro Central, Dhaka.
The event brought together supply chain professionals, corporate leaders, and industry stakeholders to observe Ramadan and foster professional collaboration. Discussions centred on ethical practices and resilience in supply chain management, with speakers highlighting transparency, responsible procurement, and the development of more robust systems amid global disruptions and evolving business landscapes.
The programme also served as a networking platform for professionals from procurement, logistics, manufacturing, and distribution to exchange ideas and experiences.
Mohammad Mamun Chowdhury, Chief Editor and Senior Vice-President of The Supply Chain Street, reflected on the platform's journey in building a professional community for supply chain practitioners in Bangladesh. He stated that the organisation would continue initiatives such as professional training, industry dialogue, and knowledge-sharing programmes.
Among those present were Prof Dr Mohammad Ali, Director, DCE, BUET; Mohammad Sams E Tabriz, Senior Director (Operations) at DSV – Global Transport and Logistics; Masudur Gazi, Radiant Pharmaceuticals Limited; Maruf Sobhan, Director (Supply Chain) at Singer Bangladesh Limited; Mohammad Mahmud Hasan, Chief Financial Officer of Aftab Feed Products Limited; and Rana Mirza, General Manager and Head of Supply Chain Management at icddr,b, along with other industry leaders.
The programme concluded with iftar, followed by a networking session among participants.
