P D Singh, Chief Executive Officer – India & South, Standard Chartered Bank, paid a significant visit to Bangladesh, underscoring the bank's commitment to the region. Singh, who was appointed CEO in April 2025 (or earlier, if referring to his current post), oversees the bank's operations in India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal.
During his career, Singh served as CEO of JPMorgan Chase Bank in India and spent a decade at HSBC in corporate and commercial banking roles. An engineering graduate with two MBAs, he has played a key role in shaping corporate banking in the region.
During his visit, Singh met with regulators, corporate leaders, chamber heads, economists, multilateral representatives, and colleagues, reaffirming Standard Chartered's commitment to Bangladesh's growth.
