Southeast University signs mou with South Korea’s Juyoung Bio Inc
The Department of Pharmacy and Southeast Pharmacy Club of Southeast University (SEU) organised a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signing ceremony with Juyoung Bio Inc, South Korea, on Sunday, 22 February 2026, at the vice-chancellor's conference room.
Professor Yusuf Mahbubul Islam, Vice-Chancellor of SEU, and Professor Kil To Chong, representing Juyoung Bio Inc, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutions.
SEU stated that the MoU aims to strengthen academic–industry collaboration, including research, innovation, technology transfer, and international partnership.
The signing ceremony was attended by Professor M Mofazzal Hossain, Pro Vice-Chancellor of SEU; Maj Gen Md Anwarul Islam (retd), Registrar of SEU; Professor Selim Reza, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Dhaka; Professor Hasnat M Alamgir, Director of SEU's Institute of Research and Training (IRT); Professor Dewan Md Farid, Dean of the School of Engineering at SEU; Muhammad Abul Bashar, Director (Operation); and Mohammad Tarik Al Jalil, Secretary of the Board of Trustees, along with faculty members of the Department of Pharmacy.
SEU also acknowledged Dr Arifur Rahman Chowdhury, an alumnus of the department, for facilitating the initiative.
