Southeast Bank disburses insurance benefit to knitwear worker’s family
Southeast Bank PLC has presented an insurance claim cheque to the family of a late employee of Shrabony Knitwear Ltd, under the group insurance coverage provided by the bank's "BETON CARD" programme.
Delivered in partnership with National Life Insurance Company Ltd, this benefit underscores the bank's commitment to employee welfare and financial security.
The cheque handover ceremony was attended by Md Khalid Mahmood Khan, Managing Director of Southeast Bank, and Md Belayet Hossen Ripon, Managing Director of Shrabony Knitwear. Also in attendance were Abidur Rahman Chowdhury and Md Mahbub Alam, Additional Managing Directors; Masum Uddin Khan, Mohammed Rashedul Amin and Md Sekander-E-Azam, Deputy Managing Directors of Southeast Bank; alongside senior officials from both organisations.
The event highlighted the bank's ongoing support for its corporate payroll account holders, reaffirming its commitment to stand by employees and their families in times of need through timely financial assistance.
Southeast Bank's "BETON CARD" is a prepaid card solution tailored for corporate organisations, enabling efficient salary disbursement and employee benefit payments. In addition to streamlining bulk wage payments—particularly for the ready-made garment sector and other industries—the card offers group insurance coverage to enhance employee protection.
Cardholders are able to access services such as cash withdrawals from any ATM, payments via point-of-sale terminals, and secure e-commerce transactions. The card also supports add-money facilities through mobile financial services and offers value-added services via the Southeast Bank mobile application.
