Sheraton Dhaka to host Pohela Boishakh celebration with music, food and festive activities

Sheraton Dhaka is set to celebrate Pohela Boishakh with a daylong cultural festival, Borshoboron Mela, on 14 April, promising a vibrant mix of tradition and modern festivity at its Grand Ballroom.
The event will run from 10:00am to 6:00pm on Level 12 of the hotel. Guests will be treated to an immersive Bengali New Year experience featuring live music, traditional dance performances, art competitions for children, and interactive games such as musical chairs for women and red light green light for men.
The celebration will also include circus and puppet shows, bioscope screenings, fortune-telling sessions, themed food stalls, and modern entertainment such as VR experiences, arcade games, and PS5 gaming zones. Children will enjoy complimentary face painting, and attendees of all ages can explore a range of classic and contemporary stalls offering free gifts and surprise giveaways throughout the day.
Tickets are priced at Tk 1,500 per person, inclusive of food coupons. Children under five can attend for free. Tickets are available online and at the hotel's lobby level.
With its blend of cultural tradition and festive flair, the event is expected to be a highlight of the Bengali New Year celebrations in the city.
