Shera Radhuni Season 8 crowns Narayanganj’s Nisat Anjum as winner
After months of intense culinary competition, Shera Radhuni Season 8, the country's largest cooking reality show, concluded with Nisat Anjum from Narayanganj crowned as the champion. She secured the top position following four final rounds: Kingkortobbobimur, Seafood Challenge, Restaurant Challenge, and Mega Kitchen Challenge.
Tamanna Yesmin from Bogura was declared first runner-up, while Juairia Kamal from Naogaon secured third place.
Organised by Square Food & Beverage Ltd's flagship brand "Radhuni", Shera Radhuni has become a premier platform for aspiring chefs in Bangladesh. The eighth season was officially launched at a press conference on 5 November 2024, followed by a nationwide registration campaign. From thousands of applicants, 48 contestants were selected through divisional auditions to participate in the Grand Audition in Dhaka. The top 20 advanced to the studio round, Mohamoncho, where they competed in the main event.
This season featured the highest number of theme-based challenges to date. Alongside staple rounds like Ei To Banglar Shad, Swader Bishwa Bhromon, Mishtimukh, Chokh Buje Swader Khoje, and Just Bake It, new additions such as Midnight Craving, Fish Fusion, Moshlar Master, and Kingkortobbobimur brought fresh excitement to the show.
The judging panel included chef Nayeem Ashraf, culinary expert Rahima Sultana Reeta, and actress and media personality Dilara Hanif Purnima. Following the studio segment, the top three finalists—Nisat, Juairia, and Tamanna—participated in professional cook-offs held in Cox's Bazar, Sylhet, and Pabna.
The grand finale, held at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center, brought together top executives from Square Group, the judging panel, five mentors, former winners, and celebrities from various fields. The event featured performances by Hridoy Khan, Imran Mahmudul, and Kona, with the Top 20 contestants reintroduced during Hridoy Khan's performance. Dance performances by Sadia Islam Mou and her troupe, along with a segment by actress Tasnia Farin, added to the celebration. A humorous skit by judge Purnima and a live audience quiz further enriched the experience. Actor Chanchal Chowdhury co-hosted the event alongside regular host Mousumi Mou.
The event opened with a tribute to Square's founding chairman, Samson H. Chowdhury, marking his centenary. In his welcome speech, Md. Parvez Saiful Islam, Chief Operating Officer of Square Food & Beverage Ltd., described the show as a destination for aspiring culinary talents.
As the winner, Nisat Anjum received a cash prize of BDT 15 lakh and a crest of honour. The runners-up also received crests, while the Top 20 contestants were honoured with mementoes. Mentors, judges, and consultant chef Subhabrata Maitra received tokens of appreciation.
The event was supported by Mediacom Ltd. (Event Partner), Maasranga Television (Broadcast Partner), Daily Kaler Kantho (Media Partner), and Rangamati Waterfront Resort (Hospitality Partner). The grand finale aired on 25 July 2025 at 7:30 PM on Maasranga Television and is also available on the official YouTube channels of Shera Radhuni and Maasranga Television.
