SEU's Business School hosts seminar on public finance career opportunities

Southeast University's Business School successfully organised a high-profile seminar titled "Navigating Career Paths in Public Finance: Exploring Opportunities in VAT, Excise, and Customs Duty" on 24 May 2025 at Shaheed Imtiaz Hall, Southeast University. 

The event commenced with opening remarks by Professor Dr M Mofazzal Hossain, Pro Vice Chancellor of SEU, while Prof. Dr. Yusuf Mahbubul Islam, Vice Chancellor of SEU, presided over the session. Dr. Md. Abdur Rouf, Member (VAT Policy) of the National Board of Revenue (NBR), delivered the keynote address. 

The seminar offered students and professionals expert guidance on professional career opportunities in public finance, focusing on VAT, Excise and  Customs Duty. Attendees gained practical knowledge and had opportunities to network with industry leaders.

Professor Dr  Serajul Islam, Dean of the School of Business Studies (SBS), and Professor Dr Farhana Helal Mehtab, Dean of the School of Arts and Social Sciences (SASS), also addressed the audience. Dr Farhana Ferdousi, Director of the BBA Program, moderated the event.

The seminar was attended by heads of various departments, faculty members, administrative officials, and students.
