Second episode of ‘Marketing Mentors’ held

The second episode of "Marketing Mentors" powered by The Business Standard, a weekly series of marketing sessions, was organised virtually by World Marketing Summit (WMS) Bangladesh on 21 August.

The objective of the session was to connect the youth marketing enthusiasts with the marketing leaders in Bangladesh and prepare them for their professional career ahead.

The guest for the evening was Tanvir Shahriar Rimon, CEO, Ranks FC Properties Ltd, who has been working in the real estate sector for a long time. The real estate veteran shared his career shift from a computer engineer to a realtor where he had to undergo multiple tasks such as supply chain, marketing and business development. One of the key transformations from the past that he mentioned is the change of perception towards real estate jobs.

The guest also shared some of his recent projects and the hurdles that he had to overcome while successfully completing his job. His focus on looking at the bigger picture helped him sell projects in Chittagong and create awareness for future prospects.

Furthermore, he advised the youth to write on a regular basis and develop their soft skills. He emphasized on developing communication skills by writing regularly which subsequently help to express themselves. At the same time, he encouraged marketing students to begin their career in advertising agencies which will boost their functional skill. Moreover, he discussed building a storytelling platform to progress in the field of marketing.

The series "Marketing Mentors" takes place every Saturday at 8 pm. To know more, visit the Facebook page of World Marketing Summit Bangladesh.
