SBAC Bank deposits cross Tk12,000cr in June
SBAC Bank PLC's deposits rose to over Tk12,000 crore at the end of June 2026, up by around Tk1,300 crore, or 12%, in the first six months of the year, the bank said today.
Its loans stood at Tk9,627 crore, and operating profit reached around Tk75 crore during the six months.
The figures were disclosed at SBAC Bank's Half-Yearly Business Development Conference 2026, held at Le Méridien Dhaka on Saturday (25 July).
At the conference, SBAC Bank Chairman Engineer Md Mokhlesur Rahman attended as chief guest, while Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer SM Moinul Kabir chaired the event.
The bank's paid-up capital currently stands at Tk824 crore, and its capital adequacy ratio is 13.40%, according to the press release.
Speaking at the conference, Mokhlesur Rahman said SBAC Bank had maintained financial stability despite global and domestic challenges in recent years.
"The bank has faced no liquidity crisis, and customers have been able to withdraw funds as needed without disruption," he said.
He said efficient and responsible management had helped the bank achieve sustainable progress and build a strong foundation.
"The board of SBAC Bank is giving the highest priority to good governance, compliance with banking regulations, strategic planning, and protecting depositors' interests and deposits," he added.
Bank Directors Mohammad Nazmul Haque, Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman FCMA, AKM Delwar Hossain FCMA, Imrul Anwar, Major (retd) Abu Fateh Md Bashirur Rahman, Independent Directors Professor Md Maksudur Rahman Sarker FCMA and Ziaur Rahman Zia FCA attended the conference as special guests.
Additional Managing Director Abdul Qaium Chowdhury and Deputy Managing Director Md Altaf Hossain Bhuiyan were also present, alongside the bank's senior executives, divisional heads, branch managers and sub-branch in-charges.
