SAU hosts SAPTOK inter-university cultural fest 2026
Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University hosted the three-day inter-university cultural festival 'SAPTOK Inter University Cultural Fest 2026 – Battle of Symphony 1.0', presented by HONOR, from 15 to 17 January 2026 at the university's Teacher-Student Centre (TSC).
The festival saw enthusiastic participation from students of eight public and private universities, including Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh University of Textiles, American International University – Bangladesh and others, who competed across multiple cultural segments.
On the first day, an intra-university cultural competition was held, where students of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University showcased their talents in Nazrul Sangeet, folk music, recitation and dance.
The second day featured the inter-university cultural competition, with participation from Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh Maritime University, American International University – Bangladesh, University of Asia Pacific, Bangladesh University of Textiles, Patuakhali Science and Technology University and the host university. Competing teams performed in segments including folk music, Nazrul Sangeet, drama, creative dance and contemporary dance.
The festival concluded on the third day with a prize-giving ceremony, where champions, first runners-up and second runners-up from each segment were awarded. The closing programme also featured a cultural showcase, highlighted by a live performance from hip-hop dance group The Blue Poppers BD alongside other artists.
Throughout the event, the presence of distinguished judges, faculty members and invited guests added to the cultural significance of the festival. Organisers said the programme aimed to promote artistic excellence, cultural exchange and unity among students from different universities.
The event was sponsored by HONOR Smartphone and co-sponsored by National Life Insurance PLC and ACI Motors. Event partners included Nescafé, The Business Standard, Rangpur Steel and the Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University Photographic Society.
