Sailor launches vibrant Boishakhi collection
Sailor has launched its 2026 Boishakhi collection, blending Bengali heritage with contemporary design.
The expanded range features sarees, two- and three-piece sets, kurtis, long tops, kidswear, and coordinated outfits for families, underscoring the brand's commitment to inclusive, fashion-forward celebrations.
The collection highlights traditional craftsmanship using half-silk, slab half-silk, cotton kota, and organza. Sailor complements these textiles with summer-ready fabrics like rayon, voile, and jacquard. While classic Boishakhi red and white set the tone, Sailor enriches the palette with pink, blue, green, and vibrant tie-dye-inspired hues.
Designers incorporate nakshi kantha motifs, geometric patterns, and woodcraft, reimagining them with a modern aesthetic. They craft contemporary silhouettes—straight cuts with flare, short tops with palazzos, and fusion styles featuring dhoti and tie-dye elements—specifically for younger consumers. Artisans embellish garments with screen and digital prints, glasswork, tassels, hand-stitching, sequins, and embroidery. Sailor pairs these with coordinated accessories such as glass bangles, necklaces, earrings, footwear, and bags.
The men's range includes panjabis, casual shirts, and ethnic shirts. Sailor adorns lightweight voile panjabis with Santarangi motifs from Rangpur, as well as geometric and tribal patterns. The brand introduces short-length panjabis reflecting current trends and fashions, as well as rayon poplin shirts with Cuban and Mandarin collars. Sailor blends voile with colourful prints for both traditional and fusion looks in ethnic shirts, and injects vibrancy into the line-up with tie-dye-inspired prints.
The children's collection prioritises comfort by using soft, breathable cotton and rayon, making each piece ideal for extended Boishakh festivities. Sailor offers frocks, skirt tops, T-shirts, casual tops, and denim. Designers create signature highlights such as mother–daughter matching sarees, children's sarees and panjabis, and coordinated family outfits.
According to Sailor, this year's Boishakhi collection unites modern style, comfort, and the spirit of Bengali tradition to deliver a comprehensive festive fashion experience.
