Rupali Insurance shareholders approve 10% dividend
Shareholders of Rupali Insurance Company Limited approved a 10% dividend—5% cash and 5% stock—for 2025 at its 38th annual general meeting.
According to a press release, the approval came at the company's 38th annual general meeting, held virtually on 29 July.
Mostafa Quamrus Sobhan, chairman of Rupali Insurance Company Limited, presided over the meeting, which was attended by a large number of shareholders.
The company reported a profit before tax of Tk12 crore for 2025, transferred Tk25 lakh to its reserve fund, and made a provision of Tk2.70 crore for income tax.
Shareholders unanimously approved the dividend recommended by the Board of Directors for shares with a face value of Tk10 each.
The shareholders also reviewed the company's performance amid an economic slowdown, its impact on the insurance sector, and intense industry competition.
Mostafa Quamrus Sobhan thanked the directors and management for their contributions to the company's performance during the year.
He also expressed appreciation to the shareholders, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders for their continued support.
