RU successfully holds national business case competition

Rajshahi University Career Club (RUCC) showcased its organisational excellence by hosting the highly anticipated student-led business case competition, Rajshahi University Career Club Presents Brandedge.
As the first-ever national business case competition held at the University of Rajshahi and in North Bengal, the event created an electrifying atmosphere, drawing hundreds of students, faculty members, and industry leaders to witness the culmination of weeks of rigorous competition and strategic problem-solving.
The competition was fierce, with many teams from universities across the country vying for the top spot. Each round pushed participants to think critically, develop innovative business strategies, and present real-world solutions. The event was structured into three challenging rounds: preliminary case solving, online video commercial (OVC) making in the semifinals, and the grand finale, where the top eight teams battled for the championship in front of an esteemed panel of judges.
The grand finale, held on February 22, 2025, at Hotel Royal Raj in Rajshahi, featured an intense competition among the eight finalist teams. In a thrilling display of business acumen and strategic thinking, Team Roshmalai emerged as the champion, winning BDT 50,000. Team Dawlders secured the first runner-up position with a prize of BDT 30,000, while Team Ace of Spades claimed the second runner-up spot, earning BDT 20,000.
The judging panel comprised industry experts and business leaders who provided valuable insights and constructive feedback to the participants. The panel included Md. Johirul Islam Apon, Founder and Managing Director of Apon Good Foods Limited, Md Shibly Islam Kanon, Senior Territory Manager at Unilever Bangladesh Limited, and Md Soykat Hosen, Founder and CEO of Code Studio.
Brandedge's success was driven by the vision and leadership of key organisers Azmaine Hossein Sabbir, Chairman of Brandedge and President of RUCC, and Nazmul Aktar Akash, Co-Chairman of Brandedge and General Secretary of RUCC. Their dedication, alongside the hard work of RUCC members, ensured that Brandedge not only provided a competitive platform for students but also fostered a culture of learning, innovation, and industry collaboration.
As Brandedge came to a close, it was evident that the competition had profoundly impacted participants and organisers. The event has set a new benchmark for student-led business competitions in North Bengal, bridging the gap between academia and industry. With such an overwhelming response and a commitment to excellence, Brandedge is poised to become an annual tradition, shaping the next generation of business leaders and innovators in Bangladesh.
