Robi holds 29th Annual General Meeting

Mobile network operator Robi Axiata PLC held its 29th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Monday at the Lakeshore Hotel in Dhaka.

The meeting was attended by Robi Board Chairman Thayaparan Sangarapillai; Board Directors Vivek Sood and Nik Rizal Kamil; Independent Director Nasir Uddin Ahmed; Acting CEO and CFO M. Riyaaz Rasheed; and Company Secretary and Chief Corporate and Regulatory Officer Shahed Alam.

Addressing the AGM, Thayaparan Sangarapillai said, "The year 2024 was a challenging one for us for various reasons. I am pleased that despite these challenges, Robi achieved commendable financial success. Prudent cost management allowed us to secure record profits. We also continued investing in our network throughout the year, which further strengthened customer trust in our brand.

"Robi remains committed to providing world-class, high-quality technological services to our users. As a techco, we are confident in our ability to contribute to the progress of both our customers and society. Our commitment to corporate governance remains unwavering. It is this governance framework that will enable us to play a meaningful role in driving the country's digital economy."

In 2024, Robi reported earnings per share (EPS) of Tk 1.50 and declared a 15 percent cash dividend for shareholders.
