Renata enters Portuguese market with three therapeutics
Renata PLC is entering the Portuguese market with three therapeutics.
The initial portfolio comprises amantadine 100mg capsules, fludrocortisone 0.1mg tablets and cabergoline 0.5mg tablets.
Renata currently markets an extensive portfolio in the UK and several other European countries, including Ireland, France, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Cyprus, with Portugal as its latest addition.
Amantadine is an anti-Parkinson's medicine used to reduce involuntary muscle movements and alleviate stiffness in patients with Parkinson's disease.
Amantadine will be supplied from Renata's EU-GMP-approved Rajendrapur General Facility. It is marketed in Bangladesh under the brand name "Mantadin" and is part of the company's established domestic portfolio.
Fludrocortisone 0.1mg and cabergoline 0.5mg are high-potency therapeutics that will be supplied from Renata's EU-GMP-approved Mirpur Potent Facility.
Fludrocortisone is a synthetic corticosteroid used in hormone replacement therapy for adrenal insufficiency, including Addison's disease.
Cabergoline 0.5mg, marketed in Bangladesh under the brand name "Cabolin", is prescribed to treat hyperprolactinaemia.
As the three therapeutics span neurology and endocrinology, precision in formulation and quality is critical to optimal patient care.
Through the initial product range, Renata aims to establish a reputation in Portugal for quality and reliability, building on its presence in other European markets and clarifying its market entry.
