Rajshahi audition selects five artistes for magic bauliana mega round
The fifth season of Magic Bauliana 2025, organised by the Sun Foundation in collaboration with Square Toiletries Ltd, has commenced on Maasranga Television in search of new talents in Bangla folk music.
Sun Foundation aims to preserve Bangla folk songs, build archives, and ensure recognition and royalties for artists. This year's Magic Bauliana continues that mission.
By August 22, over 38,000 contestants had registered nationwide. Hundreds of performers took part in the Rajshahi audition, held on September 19 at the District Shilpakala Academy. Kamruzzaman Rabbi, Sandeepan, Lovely Deb, Khairul Wasi, Dolly Mondol, and Fakir Chan formed the judging panel.

For their excellence in melody, rhythm, presentation, and overall performance, the judges selected five artists who will now advance to the Dhaka mega selection round.
The selected artists from Rajshahi are:
- Md Enamul Haque Modhu, Uttor Modanchak, Naogaon
- Srishti Rani Das, Panchbibi, Joypurhat
- Dipanwita Roy Dola, Badarganj, Rangpur
- Jesmin Akter, Mohanpur, Rajshahi
- Durjoy Chakraborty, Magura
Regional audition winners will soon face off in the mega round in Dhaka.
Magic Bauliana 2025 is broadcast on Maasranga Television. Mediacom Ltd serves as the creative and event partner, and Bishworang is the wardrobe partner.
