Pubali Bank wins two awards at Emerging Asia Banking Conclave
Pubali Bank PLC won two awards at the fourth ICC Emerging Asia Banking Conclave and Awards 2026, organised by the Indian Chamber of Commerce.
The bank was recognised in the "Best Bank – Bangladesh" and "Best Performance on Growth – Bangladesh" categories, according to a press release.
Mohammad Ali, managing director of Pubali Bank, received the awards on behalf of the bank at a ceremony at Le Méridien in New Delhi, India, on 24 July.
Pubali Bank later held a cake-cutting ceremony to celebrate the achievement.
The event was attended by Hafiz Ahmed Mazumder, former chairman; Monzurur Rahman, chairman; Habibur Rahman, Azizur Rahman, Md Abdur Razzak Mondal, Rana Laila Hafiz, Mustafa Ahmed, Arif Ahmed Choudhury and Kabir Ahmed, directors; and Mohammad Naushad Ali Chowdhury and Professor Dr Hasina Sheikh, independent directors.
Mohammad Ali, managing director; Md Anisur Rahman, general manager and company secretary; Mohammad Liton Miah, FCA, general manager and chief financial officer; and Md Shah Alam, general manager and chief protocol officer, were also present.
Monzurur Rahman said the awards strengthened Pubali Bank's position in the country's financial sector and reflected its focus on sustainable growth, corporate governance, innovation and customer service.
He said the bank would continue to provide secure, technology-driven services and support financial inclusion and Bangladesh's economic development.
Mohammad Ali attributed the recognition to the trust of the bank's customers and shareholders, the guidance of its Board of Directors and the commitment of its employees.
"The achievement will continue to inspire Pubali Bank to deliver more responsible, innovative and customer-centric banking services," he said.
He added that the bank remained committed to accelerating its digital transformation, expanding financial inclusion and providing secure banking services across the country.
