Professor Daniel W. Lund joins IUB as Pro Vice Chancellor

Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) has announced the appointment of Professor Daniel W. Lund as its new Pro Vice Chancellor. He assumed office on 13 April, bringing with him decades of leadership in international business education and academic administration.
Prior to joining IUB, Professor Lund served as the Founding Dean of Graduate Programs and Executive Education at British Management University in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Over the years, he has held senior academic leadership positions across institutions in Asia, the Middle East, and the South Pacific.
He is currently completing a Doctor of Education (EdD) from Johns Hopkins University, focusing on entrepreneurial leadership in education. Professor Lund also holds a PhD in Higher Education Organisational Effectiveness and the Management of Diversity from Griffith University, Australia; an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University, Canada; and a BA in Philosophy and English Literature from the University of Victoria, Canada.
He has undergone specialised training in teaching and leadership at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, Harvard Business School, and MIT's Sloan School of Management.
His research interests include leadership in higher education, cross-cultural management, expatriate adjustment, and strategic human resource management. A prolific academic, he has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, contributed to academic volumes, and spoken at leading international conferences.
Professor Lund is also an International Faculty Fellow at the MIT Sloan School of Management and a member of the Academy of Management.
With his global academic and administrative experience, Professor Lund is expected to play a key role in advancing IUB's academic mission and strengthening its international collaborations.
