PriyoShop marks foundation day, highlights B2B expansion
PriyoShop marked its foundation day on 7 February 2026, highlighting its growth as a B2B marketplace and distribution platform serving small retailers across Bangladesh.
Founded in 2013, the company states it initially operated as a consumer-facing platform before shifting to a B2B model focused on supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Asikul Alam Khan, Chief Executive Officer and founder, PriyoShop, said the company moved into B2B distribution after identifying persistent gaps faced by neighbourhood retailers, including fragmented supply chains, delivery inefficiencies, limited access to credit, and weak brand connectivity.
PriyoShop states it currently operates in 16 districts, with 40 hubs covering 1,428 routes, and employs more than 1,600 people. The platform serves nearly 200,000 MSMEs and has partnered with more than 288 brands, according to the company.
A key focus of the business has been credit scoring solutions developed in partnership with banks. PriyoShop states the initiative has helped 10,000 MSMEs access credit cards, enabling eligible retailers to apply for loans from their shops through a faster process.
The company also highlighted its sustainability efforts, including measures aimed at reducing its carbon footprint. It states it has represented Bangladesh on international platforms such as Startup Wheel 2024, The Asia Accelerator, Startup World Cup, Echelon Asia Summit 2023, and Tech in Asia, and received an ICT award in 2025, among other recognitions.
Dipty Mandal, Co-founder and CMO, said the company's progress is being shaped by its teams and day-to-day work. "As we celebrate today, let us remember that our story is far from complete," she said.
The foundation day event was held at PriyoShop's headquarters, with employees in attendance. The programme included messages from senior leadership, presentations on the company's 2025 achievements, and its plans for 2026, the company states.
