Pradeep Ranjan Debnath, Shahriar Siddiqui promoted to the post of BB director

Pradeep Ranjan Debnath and Mohammad Shahriar Siddiqui have been promoted to the post of director at the Bangladesh Bank.

Prior to assuming the new post on 10 July, Pradeep Ranjan served the central bank head office as additional director at the Department of Off-Site Supervision. 

He joined Bangladesh Bank as Assistant Director in 1999 and later served in the Head Office Agricultural Credit Department, Banking Regulations and Policy Department, Human Resources Department, Bank Inspection Department-1, Department of Off-Site Supervision as well as Bangladesh Bank Bogra Office.

Pradeep Ranjan Debnath graduated from the Management Department of Dhaka University.

On the other hand, Mohammad Shahriar Siddiqui worked as the additional director at the Banking Regulation and Policy Department of the central bank.

He joined Bangladesh Bank as Assistant Director in 1999. He served in Bangladesh Bank's Foreign Exchange Policy Department, then Central Bank Strengthening Project (CBSP) Cell, Department of Off-Site Supervision, Financial Stability Department and Bank Inspection Department of Bangladesh Bank, Chattogram Office.

Mohammad Shahriar Siddiqui obtained BA (Honours) and BA degree from Chittagong University Department of Economics.
