PlastiStone wins Hult Prize campus round at Khulna Agricultural University
The Hult Prize at Khulna Agricultural University (KAU) Campus Programme 2025–26 was held as a multi-stage entrepreneurship initiative, showcasing student-led ideas focused on addressing real-world and social challenges.
The programme began with an abstract round, in which student teams submitted start-up concepts. Following a screening process, eight teams were selected to compete in the final stage.
The grand finale was held on 4 February 2026, where the finalist teams presented their ideas in a structured pitching session before a panel of judges and an audience.
Professor Dr Md Nazmul Ahsan, Vice-Chancellor, Khulna Agricultural University, attended the event as chief guest and delivered a speech highlighting the importance of innovation, entrepreneurship, and youth leadership in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The programme was supported by Dr Mohammad Nazrul Islam, committee adviser and Assistant Professor, Department of Farm Structures, who provided academic guidance throughout the initiative.
The pitches were evaluated by a judging panel comprising Homayra Yeasmin, Md Morshedul Islam, Dr Mohammad Nazrul Islam, and S M Nasir Uddin, who also shared feedback with the participating teams.
Saad Ibna Bashar Omeo, Campus Director, Hult Prize at KAU, addressed the gathering and reflected on the programme's progression from the abstract round to the finale, while acknowledging the contributions of the organising committee.
Following the final round, PlastiStone emerged as champion of the Hult Prize at KAU Campus Programme 2025–26. SeaFuel Bangladesh secured first runner-up, while Fora Sweet was named second runner-up.
The programme concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, closing remarks, and group photographs.
