Parjatan Corporation to manage 500-bed Employees Hospital cafeteria
The Government Employees Hospital and Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation (BPC) have signed a bilateral agreement to enhance management and improve catering services at the cafeteria of the 500-bed Government Employees Hospital in Fulbaria, Dhaka.
Under the agreement, BPC, a leading state-owned organisation specialising in hospitality and catering, will manage the hospital cafeteria. The initiative seeks to provide safe, hygienic, and affordable meals to patients, attendants, doctors, nurses, officers, and support staff.
Preparations for the launch have been completed, and operations are scheduled to commence in January 2026. The initial term of the agreement is five years, with an option for renewal by mutual consent.
Md Saiduzzaman, Director (Administration) of Government Employees Hospital, and ANM Mostadud Dastagir, General Manager (Commercial) of BPC, signed the agreement at a ceremony at BPC's head office, Parjatan Bhaban, Agargaon, Dhaka.
Sayema Shaheen Sultana, Chairman and Additional Secretary of BPC, and Md Abdur Razzak Sarkar, Director General and Additional Secretary of Government Employees Hospital, attended the ceremony as special guests.
Chairman Sayema Shaheen Sultana said the corporation would ensure high-quality, affordable food service at the hospital cafeteria, marking another milestone in BPC's service expansion.
Director General Md Abdur Razzak Sarkar expressed confidence that the partnership would ensure smooth operations and pledged full cooperation from the hospital.
Senior officials from both organisations were also present.
