Padma Bridge site hosts training on audit settlement procedures

A training session on Audit Observation was held under the Human Resource Development and Capacity Building Project of the Bangladesh Bridge Authority at the Padma Bridge Site Office.
Mohammad Abdur Rouf, Secretary of the Bridges Division and Executive Director of the Bangladesh Bridge Authority, inaugurated the session as the chief guest. Md Iqbal Hossain, Deputy Director at the Directorate of Transport Audit, acted as the resource person.
In his inaugural speech, the Bridges Division secretary emphasised the proper utilisation of government funds, avoiding waste, and maintaining discipline in financial management. He emphasized the importance of maintaining accurate official records and documentation in compliance with government regulations to avoid audit objections in the future.
"Public resources are entrusted to officials as a responsibility to the people. It is our duty to ensure their proper use so that citizens do not suffer while accessing government services," he said.
He also emphasized the importance of regular training in transforming officials and employees into efficient human resources capable of fulfilling their duties with integrity and accountability.
Officials from the Bridges Division, Bangladesh Bridge Authority, and Padma Bridge Site Office participated in the training session.
