NU vice chancellor stresses on innovation and sustainability Lab

The Vice-Chancellor of the National University (NU), Professor Dr ASM Amnullah, has stressed the need for further innovative and sustainable knowledge-based research to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
He made the call while speaking as the Chief Guest at today's inauguration of the Innovation and Sustainability Virtual Lab at the NU campus.
The NU Vice-Chancellor said that various measures, including setting up the sustainability lab and multi-language institute and seeking academic and technical cooperation from different global organisations and universities, have been taken to enhance innovative and research activities in the largest university in the country.
Dr Amanullah also provided technical assistance to boost the research programme. Professor Dr Abud Darda, the Dean (In-Charge) of the Curriculum Development and Evaluation Centre, chaired the occasion.
The others present on the occasion were the Pro Vice-chancellor, Professor Md Lutfor Rahaman, the Pro Vice-chancellor, Professor Dr Nurul Islam, the Treasurer, Professor Dr A T M Zafrul Azam, Faculty Deans, Directors, and university faculty.
